Rocket Lab fully funds Iridium acquisition, completes $1.94B ATM
The Emmys handed out gold statues, but Rocket Lab* was locking down a bigger prize: a step closer to closing an $8 billion deal to buy Iridium* Communications, one of the largest satellite phone and data networks in the world. This month, Rocket Lab raised the final $1.94 billion needed to fund the cash portion of the purchase. The deal combines Rocket Lab's rockets and satellite manufacturing with Iridium's global satellite network, creating a full end-to-end space company that designs, builds, launches, and operates its own satellites.

Firefly Aerospace onboarded to NASA spacecraft processing operations contract
As Ben Shelton pulled off the biggest upset of his career at the US Open, taking down defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in a five-set thriller that became the latest finish in tournament history, Firefly Aerospace* was making a big move of its own. The company was onboarded to NASA's Spacecraft Processing Operations Contract, positioning Firefly to compete for task orders providing payload processing facilities and services in support of NASA missions launching from Vandenberg Space Force Base.

Space Weapons: How Boeing, SpaceX, and Others Stand to Gain
"Star Wars" is no longer science fiction. The U.S. Space Force this week confirmed the existence of on-orbit space-control weapons capable of defending U.S. forces through both physical and electronic means. The policy shift may mean increased demand for UFO constituents across the space-defense supply chain, including primes Boeing*, L3Harris Technologies*, Lockheed Martin*, Northrop Grumman*, and RTX*; space intelligence names HawkEye 360*, Planet Labs*, and Voyager Technologies*; and launch providers Firefly Aerospace*, Rocket Lab*, and SpaceX*.
